A New Paradigm for Podiatry

The old way with insurance

With insurance, you and the physician are all captive to your insurance coverage.  Patients don't know what they will be billed for making it impossible to know beforehand if services will be covered.

Billing errors, copays, deductibles, and surprise bills make for a poor patient experience.

Direct Care Billing

We happily (and intentionally!) do not contract with insurance.  Insurance companies put restraints on patient care that doctors could otherwise deliver.  By not contracting with them, treatment can be personalized and non-biased.

Contracted insurance rates for care are inflated.  By not taking insurance, we can offer fair prices directly to our patients.

Importantly, Mullin Podiatry offers price transparency.  You know exactly what services will cost before being treated.

Video: How We Are Different

Our patients pay us upfront. We never bill through insurance. Here is one reason why:

Medicare

Medicare places restrictions on care. Our patients find that nail care in particular is restrictive with Medicare. Our upfront cost is similar and you will not have to wait 61-days for treatment. No 61-day Medicare wait — pay cash and come as often as you like. What stands out is that many practices are simply not taking nail care patients in need. Or they are punting the care to nurses who are not trained in comprehensive care.

Dr. Mullin will provide your nail care, and inspect your foot for potential concerns at Mullin Podiatry. That is a promise.

Ingrown Toenail Treatment

If you have been dealing with ingrown nail pain, please have a podiatrist remove your nail. We just have more experience with the care and treatment. Below is a very reasonable example of what you pay here when you bill insurance versus just paying upfront.
